Events at Abbey Court
Feel at home, take part in regular activities and meet new friends.
Unlike many care homes, Abbey Court prides itself on the special events and outdoor trips it organises for residents, throughout the year. Highlights include fireworks, pantomime trip, pancake day, Mother’s Day, The Grand National, Morris dancing, garden party, visits to our local churches and celebrations of festivals such as Easter and Christmas.
We have daily exercise classes, and a fun packed activity schedule every month, including a movie afternoon each week, pamper days, arts and craft sessions, and of course the obligatory game of Bingo!
A happy life should be full of humour. Our residents and daycare visitors enjoy regular cabarets and themed days. Our events include lively musical performances and imaginative dress-up days that always bring excitement.
These events are a source of enjoyment and promote a sense of togetherness among our residents, helping to build solid friendships and a close-knit community.
Abbey Court understands the importance of nurturing creativity and self expression. Our arts and crafts sessions allow residents and daycare visitors to explore their artistic talents and engage in fulfilling activities.
Under the guidance of our skilled instructors, residents can paint, draw, and create beautiful crafts, boosting their confidence and sense of accomplishment.
